What is the barn capacity?

Our Barn capacity inside comfortably is 75-100... outside unlimited. You can have the best of both worlds enjoying the spacious outside facility along with the inside bar .

Is there a deposit?  When are the additional payments due? Do you offer a payment plan? 

Yes, a booking fee of $750 is required with the signed contract to reserve your date. This amount is included in your total fee. It is not an additional fee. From here, the venue investment fees are due as follows:- 3 months prior to the event - the remainder of the balance

Can you create a small, intimate setting at your venue?

Absolutely!!  You have the option of your choice! We will accommodate you for your Rustic event.

Do I need to schedule a tour or can I just stop by?
Initially, during our construction, please watch our virtual tour of the venue to get a feel for the space, both inside and out.  Once GT Farm Event Venue is complete in remodeling work  we will host an OPEN HOUSE so that you may personally view the progress and see our beautiful facility. At that time we will also begin to schedule personal tours.  We know most people will want to visit the venue with a private tour  to reserve a date, and we welcome this so you can see your vision in our Rustic venue however, we do not require it. See below for how to reserve a date.

How do I reserve a date?
Your date is reserved when the signed contract and booking fee are received. In order to start the reservation process, we ask that you email gtfarmeventvenue@gmail.com to request the specific date. (We recommend including an alternate date in case the date may have just filled) We will then contact you about additional information we may need, signing your contract, and submitting the booking fee.

Do we have to utilize your caterers and bar service?
Our Vendors list is just that. They are vendors that we know their work and feel comfortable recommending them. However, currently you may choose your own caterer. They will just need to get our approval and carry the proper licensing and insurance.
We do ask you to currently hire your own licensed bartender along with purchasing insurance coverage for your event.  We can provide an insurance agent we work with closely to discuss the policy.

Will there be another wedding on the same day?
You will have exclusive access to GT Farm Event Venue, including grounds, on your big day.

​

How many cars will your parking lot accommodate?
Our grass area is original and is what makes us so unique, we do have plenty of parking and accommodate for handicap parking. We also need to have a few spaces used by your vendors and our team members. There should be plenty of parking for your event.

Do you offer rectangular tables instead of round tables? 
Currently at this time we do not offer this service and you would need to rent these items.  We can provide you a few vendors we work with for this service.

Do you provide table linens, cups, silverware, etc? 
Currently we do not offer this service and would be happy to assist with a few vendors to help with this service.

We plan to have our ceremony offsite, or only plan to have our ceremony at GT Farm Event Venue. Does your fee change?
You have exclusive access to the venue for the day, therefore we do not charge an additional fee for holding your ceremony onsite.

Do you allow dogs onsite to play a part in our wedding day?
We love dogs. Your furry friend needs to be approved to be a part of your ceremony or photos, and may not be inside the venue. A person, other than the couple getting married, is required to be responsible for the dog during the ceremony and/or photos. We do ask that animals refrain from the reception and they may not enter the venue building. Service dogs are allowed as per ADA regulations.

What time will I have access to the venue to decorate?
12 PM on Friday.  All day Saturday, 11 AM on Sunday

Is it possible to have rehearsal at GT Farm Event Venue?

Absolutely!  Within your rental fee that would be included as you would have exclusive weekend rights to GT Farm Event Venue.

Is there hotel accommodations close?

There is a small very nice & clean motel about 5 miles from our venue for overnight guests.  In addition, we are 15 minutes from Minerva, Canton, Massillon area accommodations.

Do you include a "wedding day coordinator?"
While our Team Leader will be with you throughout your event, being a pair of helping hands, directing caterers, DJ, photographers and other vendors, answering questions and assisting as much as possible, we do not utilize the term “wedding day coordinator” but we can help handle every aspect of the day. We also have a great crew onsite to place tables prior to you or your florist decorating them, and to clean up after the event. These folks work diligently behind the scenes to help ensure the stage is set so you can make your vision come to life.

Does GT Farm Event Venue handle the catering orders for these caterers, or do I work with the caterer directly?
You work with your caterer directly. However,  the caterer would need to work with us to coordinate the day so it comes off without a hitch.

​

Can vehicles be left overnight? 
Our preference is that cars be removed from the parking area the day of the event, but if someone cannot drive it is MUCH better to leave a vehicle parked and come back in the morning. We do ask if this happens that vehicles be moved by 10:00 AM , as we may need the parking for an event the following day.

We are using a rental company.  Can they drop items off or pick them up outside of the rental period?  
It depends.  If we do not have an event the day before it may be possible, but that will not be known until closer to the event.

Are candles allowed? 
The only places we permit fires is in our firepit. Being this is a 100+ year old barn the chances of fires increases and we would not want that to ruin your special day.  We do however permit LED or battery operated candles to be utilized inside the venue. 

 

Are outside snacks and trays permitted?
Most certainly. It will be a long day and the wedding party will need snacks and water before the ceremony. See our list of Vendors we like. 

 

What is the event clean-up process?
Your job is to remove your personal items that you brought to the venue. We take care of the rest.


Can we take photos around the venue on our wedding day?
Most Definitely!!   Walk around the venue grounds and feel comfortable without worrying!  We love to see people enjoy our venue areas.  Also tag us in your photos so we may share to our website, facebook and all other forms of Social Media.

Can we nail decorations to the walls or hang things like streamers or lanterns from the beams?
No. This is not an option unfortunately.  With the age of the beams it is difficult to hang anything on.  You may use greenery around the middle beams so long as they can be easily removed without damage.
